Combat Performance & Fitness is now the home of Checkmat Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu!
In Gi Jiu-Jitsu, use of the Gi – sleeves, collar, pant legs – figures prominently in gaining and controlling position, as well as in applying submissions. A Gi consists of a pair of heavy cotton drawstring pants and a jacket lapel that crosses over and ties with a belt. Whether you are an experienced Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu practitioner, have been off the mats for a while, or are just starting out, our classes with mixed skill levels will challenge you and help you advance in your practice. Our Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu classes are belt ranked by the instructor. Combined with our No-Gi Jiu-Jitsu Classes and Open Mat Practices, your dedication will pay off as you move up in belt rank.
